Aside from understanding the man behind the magic I wanted to further get a glimpse into all that comes with being a creative who strives to develop quality art. I can remember for myself when using Ebay, how difficult it was at first to understand how to maneuver online while also providing quality customer service. I ran into problems concerning quality, matters of shipping/parcel issues while still trying to discover new content to resell.
For you Richmond what have been some of your biggest hardships with owning your own business? At first, I felt that production was hard. Like finding the right manufacturers to work with, to be able to make your ideas and do so at a reasonable price. So, in light of that what do you feel has been your greatest reward so far? For me, the greatest reward has always been getting the vision out. Seeing people appreciate and wear these ideas is the cherry on top of the ice cream. Although I can’t seem to choose what is you favorite piece from VAGUE? The crossbody bags.
Projectively, where do you see yourself of Vague in the next 5-10 years? By that time, my bedroom will probably be a factory/studio where I do almost everything for the brand. Or I’ll own my own factory (outside of where I live), whichever comes first. For anyone trying to start a business or create opportunities for themselves, What would be any tips or suggestions of yours? Figure out exactly what you want, create a plan and start!
